Saturday,September 20th will be a full-day conference experience. The first talk will be given by Kona-based YWAM missionaries, Paul and Susi Childers. Both Paul and Susi are well-versed in the problems that foster the trafficking industry. Nepal is just one of many impoverished countries where they have worked and witnessed the problem first-hand. They will speak on the importance of building Community Sustenance as a preventive tool against trafficking. Following will be Bill Forbes, Senior Advisor for Child Protection & Children in Crisis at World Vision International. His talk will focus on Point of Sale--the deception, force, and coercion involved in the trafficking of persons. Bill spent 8 years working in Cambodia combating this problem, with his primary focus on protecting the most vulnerable—children. Later in the afternoon we will hear from Hawaii officials on the current trafficking issues that we face locally. The afternoon will also feature live music from RedPoll, discussion break-out groups, testimonies, Q & A forum time with guest speakers, lunch, information on ways to become proactive in the community and abroad, options for short and long term missions, and other ministry involvement among people most at risk. Please join us from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm as we learn and grow together and hear from the Lord about His heart for justice.

Following our afternoon of learning, we will offer a Thai Food dinner at 5:00pm. After dinner, join us for a concert, featuring Seattle-based band, Jubilee, as well as two local bands, RedPoll & Cane Field Hero. The concert will jam from 5:30-7:30pm. Feel free to invite friends to attend the concert!
